La Jolla has a lot of restaurants and shops. Some are high end but some are reasonable. As you can see they also have a nice park on the water above the beach. Here's a view down a street out to the water. Nice. Posted by Hello

Turns out we were at the Gliderport... something I've never seen before. These guys just ran off the cliff and up they went. You obviously have to take lessons and then you can jump for like $150. It's probably fun... Posted by Hello

Down the Cliff

I like this picture.... gives some depth. It's straight down from the cliff. Posted by Hello

Yep we were really there on the edge! Posted by Hello

This is from the cliffs near La Jolla CA, a bit north of San Diego. The pictures just don't do it justice - it is amazing up there. Wish I had taken a picture of the sign warning about danger and unstable cliffs... oops. Posted by Hello

This picture just seemed very California to me. Posted by Hello

Not to be crude, but this elephant...um... relieved itself shortly after this picture was taken it. It was like a fire hose shooting out. Everyone around just stopped and stood aghast and amazed. Sorry no picture. Posted by Hello

The rhino looks like he's wearing gladiator armor or something.... just a strange animal. Posted by Hello

This guy just cracks us up with the shaggy dew Posted by Hello

The USS Ronald Reagan came back to port after months at sea. There was a lot of fanfare. That is one huge aircraft carrier - 20 stories high over the water, as long as the Empire State building is tall. Look closely and you'll see sailors at parade rest on deck. Posted by Hello
